Break and Lunchtime Arrangements

Break time arrangements
Students are not allowed off-site at break time. They should bring healthy food from home to eat in the dining hall or on the terrace.

Lunchtime arrangements
Students in Years 7 – 11 must stay on-site at lunchtime.

At the beginning of the year, Year 7 will be brought down to lunch 10 minutes earlier than the rest of the academy to help them familiarise themselves with our dining hall and the process of selecting and purchasing their food.

The Academy uses a cashless catering system to reduce the amount of cash circulating within the school. Before your child starts Year 7, we will send you details on how to set up an account for our online parent payment service.

If a child is entitled to a free school meal, funds will automatically be added to their account to purchase a lunch meal. However, parents can still credit their child’s account to allow for additional snacks to be purchased.

Each year group goes for lunch based on a rota. A wide variety of food is available at lunchtime to suit all students, including Halal, vegetarian, and vegan options.
