Most perfume today is alcohol and synthetic aroma chemicals. A designer bottle can cost £150 or more, yet very little of that price is what’s inside it. The rest pays for branding and marketing.
We care about what goes into our lives. We look for organic milk from grass-fed cows, avoid plastics where we can and try to live well. Then, before leaving the house, a few sprays of synthetic fragrance? That never sat right with us.
We started with Pure Oud, sourcing oud oil direct from distilleries. But oud isn’t everyone’s taste, or everyone’s budget. Working closely with distillers, we kept meeting makers of other natural oils: vetiver, rose, jasmine, sandalwood and more.
Scented Earth is how we share them. Natural, hydro-distilled oils with no alcohol and no sprays: just a few drops that warm on the skin and change through the day. It’s our way of opening the world back up to the real thing.

Where the old way still lives.
Some of the finest natural oils are still made the old way: in copper stills sealed with clay and heated over wood fires. The scented vapour travels slowly along bamboo pipes into a receiver cooled in water, hour after hour.
We have stood beside these stills and watched the oil being made. This is the kind of perfumery we want to bring back.

Warm it
Dab or roll a small amount onto pulse points: wrists, neck and behind the ears.
Let it settle
Don’t rub. Give the oil a few minutes to open up with your body warmth.
Layer it
Try vetiver under rose, or sandalwood under jasmine, to make a scent your own.
