Vetiver Oil
Vetiver is a tall grass whose roots hold a deep, cool, smoky scent. Distilled, it gives one of the most grounding oils in perfumery: damp soil, cut roots and a thread of smoke.
The scent
Opens green and slightly bitter, then settles into a soft, earthy smokiness that stays close to the skin for hours. Lovely on its own and a natural partner for rose or sandalwood.
How to use
Roll or dab a small amount onto pulse points: wrists, neck and behind the ears. Oils sit close to the skin and open up with body warmth, so start with a little and add more if you like.
Good to know
For external use only. Patch test before first use and avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Oils can mark delicate fabrics, so apply to skin rather than clothes.
